EDI 846: Inventory Inquiry/Advice


The EDI 846 inventory inquiry/advice is used to communicate inventory information between manufacturers, their suppliers and resellers. It also informs the retailers what inventory will be available in the future.


It can be sent by suppliers at different frequencies, ranging from multiple times a day to a few times a week. It is also known as x12 846.
